Dr. Neela Bhattacharya Saxena is a Professor of English and Women’s and Gender Studies at Nassau Community College, NY. She has published two books, Absent Mother God of the West: A Kali Lover’s Journey into Christianity and Judaism, Lexington, 2016, 2019 (paperback), and In the Beginning IS Desire: Tracing Kali’s Footprints in Indian Literature, Indialog, 2004 and many scholarly articles.
