In efforts to heal, Whiteness is often solely associated with power and privilege, negating the cost of this privilege: a separation from soul and spirit. As a result, well intentioned efforts result in reproducing the same old story of supremacy, domination, and separation. To get at the root of the wound and transform the pain, there must first be an acknowledgement of the pain, a naming of the wounds of Whiteness in the lives of white-bodied persons. This session explores the decayed stories passed down through Whiteness and inspires the imagination of new/ancient stories of love, connection, and liberation.
